How This Practice Mode Works
- Pick one practice hand card, then select three tiles for each Charleston pass.
- After the Charleston, discard one tile, draw from the wall, then discard again.
- Jokers can complete groups of three or more tiles, but not pairs.
- Declare Mahjong when your 14-tile hand matches the selected practice pattern.
American Mahjong FAQ
Is this the same as Chinese Mahjong?
No. American Mahjong uses jokers, the Charleston and card-style winning hands, so it plays very differently.
Does this include the official NMJL yearly card?
No. This trainer uses original practice patterns and does not reproduce any official annual card.
Why make this a separate game?
American Mahjong is the style many U.S. players expect, so a dedicated page is clearer than mixing it into Chinese Mahjong.
